Terms & Conditions



LIFT Clifton Gym


Effective Date: 12/05/2021.


By becoming a member of LIFT Clifton Gym, you agree to the following terms and conditions.



1. Membership

Memberships are personal and cannot be transferred to another person.

All fees must be paid on time to maintain access to the gym.

LIFT Clifton Gym reserves the right to adjust membership prices with at least 30 days’ notice.



2. Health and Safety

You must complete a PAR-Q form before using the facilities.

You confirm that you are fit to exercise and will inform staff of any changes to your health.

You must follow all safety instructions from staff and use equipment responsibly.

LIFT Clifton Gym is not liable for injuries caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow guidance.



3. Gym Use

Proper gym attire and footwear must be worn at all times.

Towels must be used on equipment, and members are expected to wipe down machines after use.

Bags, food, or glass bottles are not permitted on the gym floor.

Personal belongings are the responsibility of the member. LIFT Clifton Gym accepts no liability for loss or theft.



4. Behaviour

Members must show respect to staff and other gym users.

Aggressive, abusive, or disruptive behaviour may result in membership termination without refund.

Smoking, alcohol, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the premises.



5. Classes and Personal Training

Class bookings are subject to availability.

Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a charge.

Personal training sessions must be booked directly with trainers and paid in advance.



6. Payments and Cancellations

Membership payments are collected monthly in advance.

Direct debit memberships require a minimum commitment period, stated at sign-up.

Membership cancellations require written notice as per your contract.

No refunds will be issued for non-use of the facilities.



7. Opening Hours and Access

Opening hours are subject to change. Updates will be communicated in advance.

Members must only access the gym during official opening hours.

Entry systems (fobs/cards) are for personal use only and must not be shared.



8. Liability

LIFT Clifton Gym is not responsible for any personal injury unless caused by our negligence.

You are responsible for your own health and well-being when using the facilities.

We recommend you consult your doctor before starting any exercise program.



9. Termination of Membership

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your membership if you breach these terms.

Serious breaches (e.g., theft, abuse, or endangerment of others) may result in immediate termination.



10. Governing Law


These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved under this jurisdiction.
